There are unknown forces in nature; when we give ourselves wholly to her, without reserve, she lends them to us; she shows us these forms, which watching eyes do not see, which our intelligence does not understand or suspect.
-Auguste Rodin
A metal with warmth and wonderful texture. Bronze has an unrivaled character as a sculptural material. Lost wax casting originated in China and has been made in Thailand for over 2,000 years. Today bronze and brass can be worked into almost any form and completed with beautiful finishes. Almost all LAMONT bronze comes from second and third generation bronze families around Bangkok. The process involves careful monitoring of the original wax sculpture by LAMONT artists, followed by molding, casting and applying patina. All bronze is finished in our workshop. LAMONT works in bronze in combination with other materials including parchment and shagreen.

Rare and beautiful materials are sourced from Southeast Asia, Europe, India and China. We choose materials with understated elegance and rich crafts traditions.
