Our R&D team was originally tasked to research how to use traditional materials. Eventually, these skills in production, restoration and craftsmanship steered our team down a natural and exciting course to creating completely new techniques. Recently, we developed a process for gilding shagreen that gives an amazing metallic sheen to the skin that can then be oxidized. We have perfected the process of antiquing mirrors in our workshop. We are producing straw marquetry using straw imported from Europe and have found ways to cast textures in bronze for other applications. Our new technique of patinating bronze enhances the strength and beauty of the material.
